Please remind all drivers in your households to slow down through our neighborhood. MFSC has many blind curves and we have many pedestrians, children and pets to keep safe. Thanks!

Would your son or daughter love a personalized letter from Santa sent straight from the North Pole? This a cool way to make sure that your child gets a hand-written letter from “Santa”. If you fill out the questionnaire below before December 1st, 2010, we have a way to make that happen. Once the completed questionnaire, “Santa” will send a letter from him to your child. If you have more than one child then please fill out separate questionnaire for each child. This is a fundraiser for Girl Scout Troop #3298. We would love to see a response from you!! Thank you!!

MFSC neighbors are cordially invited to the first MFSC “Friday Wine Down” event of the season. Our gracious hosts, Richard and Angel Salat, will allow children to attend the event (up to 10 children) and will have a babysitter. If you will be bringing children to the event, please contribute $5 per child for the babysitter. This month we are featuring wines from South Africa! Please bring a bottle of wine from this region and a dish to share. These events have been so much fun and we have enjoyed getting to know everyone better. We look forward to seeing you there

Hi neighbors -
Hillside Elementary is getting ready for Science Day! We’ve collected half-a-bazillion items up at the school already, but are missing a few key items. IF YOU COULD PLEASE hold on to the following items, we will gladly come pick them up from you! Please email Allison Merrill for pickup by MONDAY Nov 1.
* 20 oz SODA bottles with standard 2L opening (NOT water bottles, plastic is too thin). No lids needed, just rinsed and drained. (Qty 20)
* Gently used (girl or boy) Barbies dolls (with clothes on, please!!! We give these to 3rd graders to build bungee cords to keep the dolls out of a water bucket when dropped from a ladder–naked dolls isn’t part of the 3rd grade curriculum, thank goodness)
* small boxes that could hold an egg or two (cardboard or plastic) Qty 30
* old-fashioned bubble wrap (not the new air-chamber kind)–small pieces is OK, don’t need rolls of it.
THANK YOU for anything you can contribute!!!
